hey thanks for the reply Rob....hmmmm i did at one time try to set up a password with .htaccess but it dint work and i didnt really know how to do it so i just deleted the files.....shouuld i have done something else ??

Well ive just tried opening PS then go to the edit tab then open then find the image in what ever folder. I have also tried to drag the folder to the PS icon. Its probably something really simple that i have done wrong !!
