haha... I think I have been playing with this for too long and it is turning into a huge convoluted monster. I am going to start fresh (sans divs) and go from there. Thanks for your help :P sometimes you just need an extra set of eyes :shock:

bahaha... I knew it was something silly I was missing... I was using jquery.cycle.lite.min.js rather than core with all transitions... changing it fixed it. :P lalala... :roll:

Thanks :) I gave it a shot and it did not solve my problem (it actually made it worse by getting rid of some of the styling on the dropdown). Id like to try that script sometime though.
