I am not exactly sure what the purpose of the site is, but the big green section seems kind of boring and empty to me. Could you make it smaller or put a picture in it?

Interested in your feedback
I would flip the box so the navigation is on the left hand side. To me it seems more natural. I think I read somewhere that our eyes naturally go to the top left corner, but I am not sure. It looks great!

I think you should definitely add an image swap to the navigation menu.

It seems to me that there is to much black. You might what to make either the navigation menu the sidebar or the posts something else.

I would make it a little narrower. On my 1024 X 768 screen, there is a left/right scroll bar.
