I have a bad habit of abandoning projects that i spend weeks working on. Do any other developers go through this or is it just me? i abandon them because i get bored and simply don't feel like working on them any more. How can i prevent myself from doing this? maybe there's a trick i'm not aware of, and i'm sure others go through this.
Assuming not, are you doing things that interest you?
Is there a certain step/phase in the project where you loose interest? Is it something you don't know how to do, or can't seem to get done in a way you like?
Are your projects too ambitious, or too vaguely defined?
I find that figuring out ALL the details and requirements of a project before you start it, even if it's just a fun project, boost the chances of completion. :)
@traq they aren't paid projects but i have abandoned one paid project that was a pain to finish because it involved editing someone else code. But most of them are my personal projects.
@theacefes thats a good tip, thanks
