I was looking at portfolio websites and came across a style that I like, more specifically the 'ripped' / 'corrugated' style effect that is present on the background a number of times. This got me wondering, what is the best way to create this effect?
Also I was wondering about my portfolio name, I was planning to use www.myname.com / co.uk however both are taken, I can use the .net domain but I'm not sure whether or not I Like it, What do you guys think of It or do you have any better suggestions for a name?

Thanks,
@AdamHodgson, There was a post on this site about utilizing border-image to create the torn edges effect http://css-tricks.com/understanding-border-image/ specifically, the example http://www.gopinkboots.com/ but border-image isn't supported on ie http://caniuse.com/#search=border-image
As far as a domain, have you seen if a .me is available?
Thanks @ChrisP Think thats solved the top problem, Any feedback on the portfolio name problem?
other than seeing if a .me is available, I don't really have a recommendation..that's really a personal preference...
I agree with @ChrisP. My name is taken with the .com extension so I went with a .me which is becoming quite "popular".
