answer is simple guy who is running it now "still lives in 90's"
when I finished the web he called me like 5 times that web looks weird I visited him at work and he opened the web in Internet Explorer 3.1 or something similar
he said stuff like, no webmaster = no access (people are weird) it was work for free, so my shame I guess
At least you can download all the images and script with "save page as" Take as many screenshots as possible and try asking him nicely again and again and again :D
You'll be a hero around these parts if you could convert him into a Firefox / Chrome user. I'd try that, if at all possible, but it doesn't sound like it is.

owner of the site is going to change the design for new one
I would like to have the files again
but don't ask me why, refuses me access to FTP even though I built the web
You could aslo download a .zip of the site if you have access to the Control Panel, but if you have access to that you'd have access to FTP.
It's a shame he's changing it, I like it, very clean
it was my 1st web I ever did
I just wanted my files as I spent 3 months on it
that is when you do something for free without contract :]
not sure about the laws where you are but you may possess intellectual ownership of the documents if you didn't charge for them, I'm not lawyer though
