I was wondering if anyone knows the maximum number of pages that WordPress can have. I'm waiting for ver. 3 to come out and then I am thinking of converting one of our shopping cart sites to WordPress. I've googled around and haven't really come up with a very good answer.
The issue I have is that we will have a very large number or product pages. To start, around 80k. This will increase by to a much larger number over time. I'm estimating, but it could go as high as several hundred thousand.
Now, not all of these will be displayed at once, but I may have to paginate about 1000 at a time on certain lines of products.
Does anyone have any experience with how WordPress will react to that number? Is it dependent on the server? Any suggestions?
I don't know if it makes any difference between Wordpress and Wordpress MU, but the MU version I've heard of having as many as 10,000. I wish I had a site to confirm that but I've heard about it more than once.
