  • Looks akin to Driveimage or Norton's Ghost.

Personally I just use services like Carbonite for continuous backup I don't have to deal with, and I have a 500 gb external hard drive I manually backup my client files to once a month. For less than $4 a month, I'm less than a few hours away from getting my files back on any computer I buy anywhere.

You could probably use something like Carbonite exclusively if you didn't mind the time it takes to download like 100 gigs through their servers :P
  • I have a test XP system that I am using for these evaluation tests.

trying to use it the other day on a test system, created backup file OK.

I then restored the backup to a second drive and got a note about the second drive needing to be active (expecetd),
tried to make it active from within XP but could not figure out how to do it. still working on it, I have not done any
work with NTFS drives before where you need to manipulate them like you do for FAT32 drives. a new learning
    experience.

if anyone knows how to add second drive as an active drive within XP, let me know, the tab is blanked out on my
screen and unclickable "Make drive active".
