Notepad++ and Scite

  • I'm on Windows 70% to 80% of the time and Ubuntu the rest.

    There were 2 things preventing me from using Ubuntu most of the time.

    1. I couldn't find any decent text editor.
    2. I wasn't able to find/replace through all currently opened documents

    Now, I've come across Scite which is pretty much like Notepad++ - I heard Notepad++ was actually based on Scite, which I'm pretty happy about.

    So that takes me down to 1 problem. I'm not able to find a 'find/replace through open documents' option within Scite or any Linux text-editor. (Notepad++ has this functionality)

    As silly as it sounds, this is a major deal-breaker for me lol.

    Do any of you know of a way to do this within Scite or any decent Linux text-editor?
  • Get out of Linux you big girl! lol
  • LOL!

    Linux is for the cool kids.
  • Ctrl+H is usually the find and replace shortkey I think. At least in Notepad it is, I was searching for it today and Ctrl+H works there.
