I want to integrate the user login and registration features of worpdress and phpBB. Please help.

sessions are the key.
hint is in phpbb you will have options in admin about setting cookie. rest you can find yourself if you know how sessions work

Have you thought about using bbPress? I've recently integrated wordpress and bbPress and it wasn't too bad. There are a bunch of tuts and a plugin to help with it.
