I was just wondering, is there any advantage in one over the other or it doesn't really matter cause both get rendered the same?

Got two questions.
How do I convert hex to hsl?
What those percentages attributes do?

Here is the converter that I use:
http://serennu.com/colour/hsltorgb.php
The percentage components of HSL are the Saturation and Lightness. 0% Saturation is no colour and 100% is full colour. 0% Lightness is black and 100% is white. So if you wanted red you would use hsl(0,50%,50%).
