im on one of the school iMacs and when loading CSS-Tricks it looks really weird. and im wondering, is this the schools security problem when loading the website? or merely the CSS in css tricks media query error/bug?

Definitely not a problem with the media queries, they are working fine for me when I resize my browser.
I wonder if your school is blocking a domain that he's calling?
