Is it just my computer or is CSS-tricks looking pretty messed up in IE? I have IE8.

I think Chris is aware of it, but has no immediate plans to update.

It's all good, I don't use IE except to cross-check my work. I'm not really a fan of IE anyway.

Think this should be largely cleared up now. Next time I get some time I'm gonna clean up IE 7. Still leave it on a print stylesheet but do it more thoughtfully.
