No IE 9 supports them fine and I have the script to make them work in the older versions. This isnt the first site ive done in HTML5. Thats why its not making any sense to me.
True but as of right now IE9 isn't supported with all Windows versions. Most people have XP yet you can't download IE9.
Edit: Currently, I am using Firefox 4 and it seems to render almost the same as Chrome. My tip would be to use a sprite on your navigation so it doesn't have to download a second image.
